It’s been a week since the 9th Star Magic Ball but we’re still enraptured with Kath & DJ at the said event – more so that Kath has updated her blog – – of how she prepared for the event.

And one of the things she spoke of in detail are the gorgeous gowns she wore:

Speaking of which, I still couldn’t believe that I wore this beautiful Michael Cinco creation during that evening. From the moment Tito Michael offered to dress me for the ball, everything has been surreal. He was really approachable, and working with him to create the look I want –together with Kuya John Valle, Ate Denise Ochoa, and my stylists Kim and Boop Yap– was such a breeze. The whole team made it so much easier for me to turn this fairytale into reality.

Other than my red carpet dress, I also had another one made by Patricia Santos to wear for cotillion. It was a white and gold embellished frock, which I also super loved! These two dresses only made me more excited for the ball.

As for hair and make-up:

The Michael Cinco dress was already a grand statement on its own, so we agreed to keep everything else low-key to strike a perfect balance. We wanted a look that’s timeless, sophisticated and also age-appropriate. My hair was in a low, messy ponytail to perfect the “undone glam” look we were going for this year.

For my makeup, we wanted to focus on the eyes so we went for a black-winged liner and neutral hues to go with it. Ate Den topped it off with bushy brows and nude lipstick. I also didn’t wear too much foundation since we were going for a natural, effortless look.

These two pictures and Kath’s candid caption made all us all swoon:

As it turns out, DJ was also wearing white! Soooo, we were matchy-matchy that night. Hahaha!
